In brief: A telehealth ADHD evaluation is a secure video visit with a psychiatric clinician. It covers your current symptoms, your history back to childhood, validated rating scales, and screening for other conditions, and ends with a personalized plan.
Step by step
1. Before the visit. You'll complete intake forms and ADHD rating scales. If you have old report cards or past evaluations, they help.
2. Your story. We talk about what brought you in now: work, relationships, time management, focus, and how long it's been going on.
3. Childhood history. ADHD starts in childhood, even if nobody noticed. We look for early signs.
4. Ruling out look-alikes. Anxiety, depression, sleep problems, thyroid issues, and hormone changes can mimic or worsen ADHD.
5. Labs, when needed. Thyroid, metabolic, and hormone labs can reveal hidden contributors.
6. Your plan. If ADHD is confirmed, we build a plan that may include medication management when appropriate, behavioral systems, and attention to sleep and stress.
How to prepare
- Find a private, quiet space with good internet
- List your current medications and supplements
- Think of concrete examples of where ADHD gets in your way
A note from Clay Hall
"Most adults come in having already spent years wondering. My goal in the first visit is to give you clarity, whether that's ADHD, something else, or both."
